Our Team
Hi my name is Sarah Matthews. I took over an existing school in 2008 and have been successfully running Sunflower Montessori for the past fifteen years. Being a part of a little person's life, teaching them and watching them grow brings a lot of joy to my working life. I believe in the benefits a Montessori Education brings to young children as I see it first hand everyday at Sunflower. I trained to be a Montessori Teacher through London Montessori Centre and have gained a lot of knowledge through the years with wonderful Montessori Mentors. I enjoy being part of the North West Montessori Network group where Montessori Teachers who want to keep the Montessori Ethos alive meet, share ideas and learn from each other. I also enjoy sharing my love of yoga with the children. I was given this piece of wisdom by a mentor many years ago and I still believe it today. "The day you feel you have nothing more to learn is the day you should stop teaching“
My name is Amy, I'm from Bundoran Co. Donegal. I am 30 years old. I have a 4 year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Early Childhood Care & Education from IT Sligo. Hi, my name is Emma Reeves. I have worked at Sunflower Montessori since January 2018.
I hold UK qualifications that are equivalent to level 5 childcare and hold a level 6 LINC Inclusion Co-Ordinator Certificate.
I moved from Cornwall in August 2017 with my family onto an old family farm. I absolutely love being outside, growing lots of fruits and vegetables in our allotment and poly tunnel and looking after all the animals we have here.
In Cornwall I worked as a registered childminder and had my own soft play hire business.
I have met so many lovely children and parents at Sunflower and love coming to work each day to see everyone.
